Countdown To The Oral Bible School Graduation

Since 2016, the Oral School of the Bible has emerged as a beacon of transformation in Ghana, offering free theology training to street preachers, ministry leaders, church elders, pastors, and devoted individuals engaged in Christian ministry, despite lacking formal education. Established through a partnership with the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, USA, this school has graduated over 1,000 students in both level one and level two using oral technology.

Using translated study materials and content from Moody Bible Institute, students learn in their local language, Twi, with materials recorded onto audio playback devices. Every ten days, students receive audio examination questions via their cell phones to assess their understanding and undertake exams.

The 2023–2024 academic year enrolled 500 students in both levels in Anyinam, Kumasi, Techiman, Sefwi Wiawso, Mangoase, and its surrounding environs in Ghana. This marks a historic moment, surpassing the annual enrollment of 440 students traditionally sponsored by the Moody Bible Institute. Amidst this surge of academic pursuit, a new beacon of support emerged from Woodside Bible Church in Michigan, USA, extending their generosity to sponsor 50 students. Theovision International, ever committed to the cause, contributed to the dreams of 10 additional students.

During the review, students who had missed more than four assessments due to network challenges were put to the test, and their academic performance was scrutinized. The students, with joy, expressed how ready they were to wear their graduation gowns on April 4 and 6, 2024, in Techiman and Anyinam, respectively. It's heartwarming to see how the Oral School of the Bible is positively impacting lives in Ghana.
