Every day, life throws us unspeakable challenges, making us feel hopeless and stuck, unable to free ourselves. The people of Akato community in Ghana’s Volta region’s Ketu South Municipality faced similar challenges.
The residents had needs to be satisfied but were unable to do so. Those who looked to the Bible for guidance were unable to read the Ewe Bible and couldn’t find the comfort they required. When the Bible listening, group was established in 2019, it provided liberation and peace.
Through the listening of the Audio Bible in Ewe language, those who couldn’t read the Bible are now able to listen to the Bible word for word. The contributions, questions and answers that come out of the discussion during listening sessions confirm that the Ewe Audio Bible has become a blessing to the people of Akato.
“Some of the members testify that they get encouraged in their faith and personal issues when they come to the listening session. Others also testified that the program serves as a reminder of the Word of God preached in church on Sundays.” The group leader, David Adzaklo shares. He adds that the program also helps in propagating the gospel even to the unbelievers in the community. With your support, the people of Akato are now able to listen to the Ewe Audio Bible which has brought liberation to the community.
