The 6th cohort of trainees under the New Life Opportunity Skills Centre started their training program on November 5, 2022 with 28 trainees. This training program is an initiative by Theovision International, a non-profit Christian organization that began in 2015 to empower young people with skills to improve their lives.
For the first time, the training which used to take place at the Theovision premises, has now been moved to Abokobi-Aboma, a community in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. These trainees are undergoing nine months of in-class training in sewing, bead making, entrepreneurship and spiritual nurturing; and three months internship as part of the program.
After 4 months of in-class training, the trainees are assessed on their performance to evaluate their skill level through sewing and beading various kinds of fashion styles.
