Hundreds Turn Up for Free Medical Screening At Nuba

A large number of residents turned up for Theovision's free medical screening at Nuba in the Jomoro District of the Western Region.

A team of health professionals made up of experienced doctors,  laboratory technicians, pharmacists, ophthalmologists and counsellors were on hand to provide treatment for various health conditions.

Some of the common health conditions include high blood pressure,  diabetes,  fever, headaches, wounds and sores, typhoid and urine tract infections, among others.

The team leader of the medical staff, Dr. Jacqueline Asibey, Snr. Specialist Paediatrician and Clinical Coordinator of the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman, advised the residents to be conscious of their health conditions and take precautionary measures to avert escalation.

She commended regular exercise and abstention from smoking as one of the ways to enhance a healthy lifestyle. She urged them to seek timely medical help to avoid unnecessary complications.

Other beneficiary communities of the free screening programme are Nzolenzu and Jaway.  Over 3000 people are expected to benefit from the medical campaign.
