Papa Breman is a farmer who lives in Tudrope, a small community in Sankapla in the Northern Region of Ghana. Although he has been a committed Muslim for 67 years, he never experienced inner peace or joy during that time.

He used to have very strange, horrible, inexplicable dreams night after night which greatly distressed and tormented him for years. Sometimes strange people chased and beat him up mercilessly in his dreams, leaving him helpless, dejected and sad. In one of such frightful dreams, three men struggled with him and subsequently struck him with leprosy. When he woke up from sleep, he had indeed become leprous! The situation deteriorated with time, leading eventually to the amputation of his hand.  

Theovision visited the Tudrope community to establish a Bible listening group. Among those who gathered to listen to God’s word in their mother tongue was Papa Brema. When he heard that Jesus took away his sins, by dying a painful death on the cross, and that Jesus would rescue him from his torments and heal his leprosy if he surrendered his life to him, he became excited.

“It was a hard decision for me because I had been a Muslim my whole life. But I said to myself that if accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour would give me peace and joy, then I was ready.” he said.

Papa Brema has renounced Islamic worship and committed his life to Jesus Christ. He has become a very committed Christian and member of the Bible listening group in Tudrope. To the glory of God, Papa Brema has experienced God’s miraculous healing in his body. He now has great joy, peace and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
